1 Year of Modi Sarkar

1 Year of Modi Sarkar-Acche din aane wale hain

On May 16th 2014 at around 10 AM it was almost certain that there will be Modi Sarkar at center for next 5 years. It landslide victory for modi which astonished many. The acche din govt took over the central govt on 26th May. Its now close to 1 year now and there are lots of opinions all over about the performance of this govt. I am giving my perspective as a common man.

Corruption 

Have you heard of any of any corruption cases since last 1 year at the center? Think and think hard and you wont find any. Thats the modi effect. He always maintained that he wont eat and he wont let eat. He is following that diligently.  You can certainly assume that this trend will remain for next 4 years also. The scams were turned around in to huge revenues in Modi sarkar. Govt earned more than 1 lak crore from Spectrum auction and 2 lak crores from coal block auctions. Isnt it acche din?

Black Money

There was lot of debate around black money issue. First thing this govt did was to form the SIT to investigate the black money. This simple decision of constituting SIT was long pending. As PM himself said that the govt is making progress towards getting the black money back to India.

Jan Dhan and Pahal

Even after 60 plus years of independence crores of citizens still didnt had the access to banks. Can you imagine? Modi came up with Jan Dhan and it opened 10 crore accounts which opened door for common man to the banks. It collected 1000 crore deposit also although it was zero balance account with 1 lak accidental insurance. Then came Pahal which enabled people to get their subsidy directly to their accounts.  Jan Dhan was appreciated even by World bank as it was biggest financial inclusion. Isnt it acche din?

Foreign policy

From Nepal to Japan to US to Germany to Canada modi spent about 45 days in last 1 year travelling to many countries. Opposition critized it but modi didnt bother because he knew he is travelling with a purpose. All saw modi speaking on big stages of Madison sqaure but modi's agenda was to get investment flowing to India. These visits will start paying dividends in coming days interms of investments and job creation which he promised. India will compete with likes of China in coming days. Isnt is Acche din?

Above i have highlighted only the major achievements in last 1 year. Apart from that there are many his govt has achieved. The economy is back on track and it looks promising. Its expected to grow at more than 6% rate.

There were controversies right from Sakshi maharajs,girirajs etc etc. The opposition scored some brownie points with those as they didnt had any other topics to attack modi. Topics like Gharwapsi made sound but people who were talking about ghar wapsi never spoke about forced conversion by the missionaries. Also when BJP said lets bring in anti conversion act all ran away. It shows the hypocrasy of so called intellectuals.

Any govt which comes to power needs atleast a year or 2 to clean up the mess of previous regime and that's exactly modi is doing.  He is cleaning up the system thats why we hardly hear about corruption cases.

Remeber the mandate is for 5 years and modi will achieve plenty of things in coming days as the work he has taken up in last 1 year will pay off only in coming days. Although its too early to judge a govt but acche din surely going to come. Acche din aane wale hain.
